Who Is It For?

Braces or Aligners?

Fixed braces

Metal or tooth-coloured ceramic brackets are bonded to the teeth and connected by a wire that is adjusted at the clinic every few weeks. Braces handle the widest range of cases, including bigger movements and bite corrections. Our patients' families have shared on Google how their children's braces treatment went.

Clear aligners

A series of thin, near-invisible removable trays moves the teeth a little at a time, with a new set every one to two weeks. They come out to eat and brush. Aligners suit many mild to moderate cases in adults, including Invisalign.

How Treatment Works

How Long Does It Take?

Mild crowding can take under a year; many cases take one to two years. The time depends on how far the teeth need to move and, with aligners, on wearing them for the recommended hours each day.

Frequently asked questions

Am I too old for braces or aligners?

No. Teeth can be moved at any age as long as the gums and bone are healthy, and many aligner patients are adults.

Do braces or aligners hurt?

There is pressure and mild soreness for a day or two after an adjustment or a new set of aligners. It settles quickly.

Can I eat normally?

With aligners, yes: you take them out to eat. With braces, very hard and sticky foods are best avoided.

Why do I need a retainer?

Teeth tend to drift back after treatment. A retainer holds them in their new position.
